why you should care

why we left out the oat

Oat is one of the most common ingredients in baby lotions and creams. Some early research suggests that when a food meets delicate or irritated skin before a baby has ever eaten it, a sensitivity to that food may be more likely later on. The science is still unfolding, so we chose the careful path: no oat, soy or dairy in our jar (2007, 2015, 2022).
